Anniversaries are die besten!

I was reminded by the our dear Julia, now known as Julschi, and Kirsten that today is the 1 year anniversary from my debut as Tarzan in Germany.  I can't begin to tell you what a wonderful year it has been, full of adventures, new friends, new languages and lots of flying!  I thought I would post some of my favorite pictures from my trips back and forth to Hamburg.  I was nervous and excited that first trip out in February...but every time I came back, I couldn't wait to get off the plane and be reunited with the show, friends and fans, all of which I have come to care for deeply!
(One of the many nights we spent at the Boston Hotel lounge)

(After a long day in Lubeck, our reactions to a dinner of currywurst. I guess I missed the memo that it was a "crazy face" shot)

(Breakfast with my girlfriend at my favorite neighborhood morning spot.  Check out those beautiful, huge milchekaffes!)

(One of the first sunny days for me in Hamburg. My German friend from 3 years earlier came to visit and we went to Blankenese)

(Luckily this picture isn't real!  These are Mark's crutches. It was my birthday, so we had to have some fun :)

(from my wonderful birthday night.  I was so touched by how many of the cast, crew and fans all celebrated with me!)

(And my wonderful German friends showing support for this ole American boy).

It's just a glimpse from the past year of Hamburg, but it was definitely one of the bright spots.  Thanks to all of you who made it so memorable.  Hopefully I can return the favor someday.

I'll post about Toronto soon.  We've never been in one place longer than 2 weeks!...ha

I like your picture from Blankenese, I live there, go to school there, play soccer there, it's my home since I was born. I know exatly where you are on the picture :D! Great, that you were there. I hope one time you can come back to Hamburg for a few days or months.

Thank you for the lovely pictures and the wonderful words, Kevin!!!

I really don´t know which one I like best because they´re all special, but the one with Kara and you and the huge Milchkaffees is so sweet!!! :)
What´s the name of your favorite morning spot?
It´s always good to know some nice places to go in your own city! :)

Last weekend I went to Vienna to visit my sister and had a lovely sunday brunch at a bagel "restaurant" http://www.the-roast.com/.
It felt like I was in America exept for the weird language....... ;P

Next week Julschi is comming to Hamburg to visit me and the week after that I´m going to visit her and we´ll see Buddy Holly where Vinny plays Ritchie Valens.
I hope he will be playing that night, keep your fingers crossed for us! ;)

    Take care!
    Hugs Kirsten*

    P.S. I´m curious about Toronto! ;)

  5. Dear Kevin!
Thank you so much for your wonderful words regarding your anniversary. The time circulates so fast.
Thanks for the lovely photos which provide and underline this unforgettable time once again. I like particularly the photo from Blankenese. It is really a pretty and very special place on earth. And the photo radiates so many energy and zest for life.
You surely have experienced much at this time. You have been able to gain many, new experience and found many new friends as I can see at the pictures. This pleases me very much. And it makes me proud that I was able to be - not only one time - participate in your existence in Hamburg.
Thanks for your stirring entry. It was a wonderful year. :)
I hope also that you return sometime and we come in the pleasure of your arts again.
    I send you best wishes,
Julia (or Julschi - however named ;))

  7. Well, it seems I might have to write about the anniversary of my last blog post...I take so long to post! Sorry :) I think the next cities may come a little faster.

@Kirsten* I don't remember the name of that breakfast place. It is on Eppendorfer Weg between Kottwitzstrasse and Roonstrasse. I think it may have "Mer" in the title. It modern white plastic chairs on the inside. Let me know if you find it! Actually, I think one of the owners or persons who works there had a son that played Young Tarzan at one point, hah!
